Speaking Engagement Terms
Last updated: October 1, 2026
These terms apply to requests for Kimberly Cunningham to speak, present, teach or appear at events, on panels, on podcasts and in media. They describe how we work so that planning is simple for both sides. For each confirmed engagement we issue a short written confirmation (the “Confirmation”) covering date, format, fee and logistics; if the Confirmation or a signed agreement conflicts with these terms, the Confirmation or agreement controls.
1. Inquiries, holds and confirmation
An inquiry through the Speaking page or by email is not a booking. We will respond with availability, a proposed format and a fee quote. We may place a courtesy hold on a date for a limited time. An engagement is confirmed only when both parties have agreed to the Confirmation in writing and any deposit stated in it has been received.
2. Fees and honoraria
Fees depend on format (keynote, workshop, panel, half- or full-day training), audience, length, preparation required, travel and exclusivity. Fees are quoted per engagement and stated in the Confirmation, together with any deposit, the payment schedule and accepted payment methods. Fees are exclusive of travel and expenses unless the Confirmation says otherwise. Invoices are payable by the date stated in the Confirmation.
3. Travel and expenses
For in-person engagements the host covers reasonable travel and related expenses as set out in the Confirmation — typically airfare, ground transportation, lodging for the nights required by the schedule, and meals or a per diem. The host may book travel directly or reimburse documented expenses within thirty days of invoice. Kimberly will keep expenses reasonable and consistent with the host’s stated policy.
4. Cancellation and rescheduling
Cancellation windows, any non-refundable deposit and any cancellation fees are stated in the Confirmation. If the host cancels, non-recoverable travel costs already incurred are reimbursable. If Kimberly must cancel for illness, emergency or a conflicting professional obligation, she will give as much notice as possible, refund any fees paid for the cancelled engagement, and offer to reschedule or to help identify a substitute speaker; this is the host’s exclusive remedy. Neither party is liable for failure to perform caused by events beyond its reasonable control (severe weather, travel disruption, public-health restrictions, venue failure or similar). Where an event is cancelled for such a reason, the parties will first attempt to reschedule or convert to a virtual format.
5. Content and the educational nature of talks
Kimberly tailors each talk to the audience, but the content, opinions and materials are hers alone. Her presentations are educational: they are not medical advice to any attendee and do not create a provider–patient relationship. A brief disclaimer to that effect is included in each presentation. She does not provide individual medical consultations at events, and she does not promote specific products or brands unless disclosed in advance and agreed with the host. Presentations are not accredited for continuing-education credit unless the host arranges accreditation and the parties agree to the requirements in the Confirmation.
6. Recording, livestreaming and intellectual property
Kimberly retains all rights in her presentations, slides, handouts and materials. The host may not record, livestream, transcribe, photograph for commercial use or redistribute a presentation without written consent, which will be stated in the Confirmation along with any limits on use (for example, internal replay for a fixed period, or a public recording with attribution). Slides and handouts may be shared with registered attendees for personal use only and may not be edited or republished. Audience photographs for the host’s event coverage are welcome.
7. Promotion
Once an engagement is confirmed, the host may use Kimberly’s name, approved biography, approved headshot and session description to promote the event. Please use the materials we supply and do not alter her credentials or titles. Promotion may not imply that Kimberly endorses the host’s products, services or sponsors. Kimberly may list the event on her Site and social channels unless the host asks that it remain unpublicized.
8. Logistics and accessibility
The host provides the venue, audiovisual equipment (projector or screen, HDMI connection, microphone and a confidence monitor for larger rooms), a session timekeeper and any accessibility accommodations attendees require. Kimberly will supply a technical checklist and her final slides in advance of the event. For virtual engagements the host provides the platform and a technical contact, and a brief sound-and-video check is scheduled before the session.
9. Podcasts, interviews and media
Kimberly welcomes podcast and media interviews on healthy aging, hormone health, menopause and sexual health after forty. Interviews are unpaid unless otherwise agreed. Please share the topic, audience and any questions in advance, and let us know the expected release date. We ask that episode titles and show notes describe Kimberly’s credentials accurately, that excerpts not be edited to change meaning, and that any sponsor messages be clearly separate from her interview. We may share and link to the published episode.
10. Conduct and professional obligations
Kimberly is a licensed nurse practitioner and will decline any request that conflicts with her professional, ethical or licensing obligations — including requests to give individualized medical advice, to make claims that are not supported by evidence, or to endorse products in ways that require undisclosed compensation. Each party will treat the other’s staff and attendees with professionalism and respect.
11. Liability
Each party is responsible for its own acts. Kimberly is not liable for the host’s event costs, attendance, revenue or outcomes, and her total liability relating to an engagement will not exceed the fee paid for it. The host is responsible for the safety of the venue and for the conduct of its event. These terms do not limit liability that cannot be limited by law.
12. Contact
To request availability, use the form on the Speaking page or email [email protected]. These terms are governed by Colorado law.
