Accessibility Statement
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Kimberly Cunningham is committed to making kimberlycunningham.com usable by as many people as possible, including people who use assistive technology. Healthy aging is for everyone, and so is this Site.
1. Our standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA. These guidelines explain how to make web content more accessible to people with visual, hearing, motor and cognitive disabilities.
2. What we have done
- A single, logical heading structure on every page so screen-reader users can navigate by heading.
- Descriptive alternative text on every photograph and image.
- Text and background colors chosen for contrast; no information conveyed by color alone.
- Text that can be resized with browser zoom without loss of content; fluid layouts for phones, tablets and desktops.
- Every form field has a visible label; required fields are marked; confirmation and error messages appear in text.
- Links and buttons are keyboard-reachable with a visible focus indicator, and link text describes its destination.
- No autoplaying video or audio, and only subtle, non-flashing motion.
3. Known limitations
- Embedded third-party content, such as YouTube videos, relies on the accessibility of the third-party player. We will provide captions on our own videos.
- Some linked third-party sites (retailers, podcast platforms) are outside our control.
- This statement is based on a self-assessment, not an independent audit. If we commission an audit, we will update this page.
4. Tell us if something is not working
If you have difficulty using any part of this Site, or you need content in another format, please email [email protected] with the page address and a description of the problem. We aim to respond within five business days and to fix genuine barriers promptly.
5. Technical notes
The Site is built with WordPress and Elementor and uses standard HTML, CSS and a minimum of JavaScript. It is designed to work with current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, and with common screen readers such as VoiceOver, NVDA and JAWS.
